About: Tiffany Flynn

Tiffany “Tflyyy” Flynn affectionately known as Tiff, was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the parents of Tonya Moore and Timothy Flynn. She was very active as an all-around athlete participating in a variety of sports ranging from ballet and cheerleading to basketball and track. Her athleticism led her to be a featured member of the Cedar Grove Middle School track team in  Decatur, Georgia. During her eighth grade year, Flynn's coach recognized and encouraged her talent and persuaded her to join the basketball team while blossoming as a budding track star. Tiffany closed her middle school track career with a Dekalb County record in the long jump of 17 feet, 11.50 inches (5.33m).

Upon enrolling in Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia, Tiffany decided to shift her focus solely to competitive cheerleading. In a bargain with her mother, she agreed to continue to pursue a career in track to remain on the competitive cheerleading squad. From the ninth grade, Tiffany thrived on the track and was named county and regional champion in the long jump. She also held the honor of being the only athlete on her team to make it to the Georgia High School Association (GHSAA) state championship meet in Albany, GA. After spending freshman year avoiding her high school coach, Eric Keddo pushed her to the triple jump; Tiff gave it a try and flourished sophomore year. During her 10th grade season, she qualified for the state competition in the triple jump but fell short of her goal in the long jump. In her junior year of high school, she added the 100m hurdles to her repertoire and became a state champion in the triple jump and runner-up in the long jump and 100m hurdles. In the victorious triumph of her senior year at Miller Grove, she claimed the state title in all three events and jumped her way into the record books breaking the GHSAA triple jump record with a leap of 41 feet 11 inches.

Her success on the track continued and opened more opportunities as she graduated with a full-ride track and field scholarship to Mississippi State University. As an athlete, Tiffany went on to compete in the SEC where she became an All-American and school record holder in the triple jump. Since graduating college and receiving both her bachelor's and master's degrees, she had the pleasure of competing for Team USA at the 2019 Match Meet in Belarus, Europe, and currently competes for The Winners' Circle US under Olympic Gold medalist Dwight Phillips. Her most recent achievement was successfully competing at the 2021 US Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, and placing fourth in the women's long jump with a jump of 22 feet 3.25 inches (6.80m). Her Olympic dreams are heightened now as she continues to train for upcoming qualifying events with her eyes set on the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
During her 2020-2022 seasons Tiffany worked  as a full-time employee and youth mentor with the City of Atlanta in the Parks and Recreation department. She continues to use her platform to encourage youth to pursue their dreams and always strive to reach their goals. As she continues to embark on her athletic adventure, Tiffany credits her success to her faith in God, hard work, commitment, and the love and support of family and friends. With these life skills as her foundation, Tiffany is laser-focused on succeeding in her athletic endeavors.
“God has so much in store for me and I intend to allow him to use me as a vessel to encourage others”
